Daily Thread among new shopping spots at Dakota Square Mall | News, Sports, Jobs

The Jen Brodal/DND Daily Thread retail store is located in the Dakota Square Mall. The store opened in June.

Daily Thread stores have opened an average of 10 stores per month in the Midwest this year, said Letha Selfridge, Minot’s Daily Thread store manager.

The Minot store opened at Dakota Square Mall on June 29 and offers a line of affordable clothing for all ages and styles. The store began to come alive as the fall months approached, Selfridge said.

Daily Thread is among several new venues for shoppers coming to Dakota Square Mall in the coming months.

Mikalah Auer, marketing manager for Dakota Square Mall, said some seasonal booths returning this year are Hickory Farms and Go Calendars. Auer said Crumbl Cookie will open in the coming months and next year Tilt Studios, a family entertainment center, will open.

Selfridge said everything in Daily Thread was under $40. A business casual-themed clothing line that includes dresses and comfortable loungewear is available in sizes extra small to 3X.

She said that because NYC Alliance is the direct supplier and manufacturer to the Daily Thread store, it essentially cuts out the middleman and allows for quality clothing at a lower price.

The Daily Thread has several daily deals racks, where customers can find clothes for $15 or less. Selfridge said clearance items can cost as little as $5. She attests to the quality and comfort of the clothes as a customer herself. The clothes are very varied and comparable to other clothing stores in the mall, according to Selfridge.

NYC Alliance makes apparel for everyday retailers like Macys, Nordstrom, Stein Mart, Stitch Fix, and Amazon, to name a few. Some of the NYC Alliance brands are Juicy Couture, 525, Frye and Faith Jeans.

“The Daily Thread offers Faith jeans for $29 a pair and also incorporates its own Daily Thread clothing brand,” said Selfridge.

Some trending items worn this season are all kinds of cardigans, some basics and some highly detailed, as well as overshirts, said April Edwards, visual merchandiser for the Daily Thread’s Minot site.

Selfridge said the store’s most popular and expensive item is $39 for a black moto jacket.
