One of the most exciting parts of the draft for players is watching the fans buy their jerseys with their names and numbers. For Falcons fans, Kyle Pitts was an obvious buy last offseason. It was one of the first classes of rookies to be able to wear single-digit jerseys, and Pitts’ No. 8 was a hit.
This year, Falcons fans have even more reason to be excited. We already know that Drake London, who has the potential to make an AJ Brown-esque impact in Arthur Smith’s scheme, will wear number 5. Additionally, the other rookie class shirt numbers were made official Friday morning. .
#Hawks official rookie jersey numbers:
WR Drake London – 5
DE Arnold Ebiketie – 47
LB Troy Andersen – 44
QB Desmond Cavalier – 4
OF DeAngelo Malone – 51
RB Tyler Allgeier – 25
G. Justin Shaffer – 75
TE John FitzPatrick – 87— Evan Birchfield (@EvanBirchfield) May 6, 2022
For several reasons, fans might start seeing a lot of these players’ jerseys in Atlanta on Sunday. The obvious prospect would be Desmond Ridder, who will likely be the team’s next franchise quarterback, which inherently comes with jersey sales.
Arnold Ebiketie and DeAngelo Malone also have the opportunity to become real fan favorites. Every fanbase loves a dominant passer. Tyler Allgeier is another player who might see his jersey as a popular fan option. He will also have every chance to play a starring role in the Falcons’ attack and be the star guard alongside Cordarrelle Patterson.
