T20 World Cup fever is back on as the eighth edition of the tournament is due to start on October 16 and teams have been busy with their preparations. The ICC mega event will take place in Australia and fast bowlers should have more of a say depending on the conditions.
Among the traditions of the tournament, the reveal of the shirts has always been a special moment and it has continued for this edition as well. While most teams had unveiled their shirts on social media, some teams have yet to confirm and have made no notable announcements.
With just days to go until the T20 extravaganza kicks off, it’s time to assess the shirts of the top eight teams competing in the tournament.
Pakistan Cricket unveiled their kit for the upcoming T20 World Cup 2022 in the month of September and many expectations about them had arisen even before the kit was unveiled. The PCB had previously hinted that the theme was ‘thunder’ and the saddest part was that images of the shirt were leaked on social media even before it was officially announcement.
Skipper Babar Azam was the center of attraction for posing in a swimsuit and it sparked a lot of memes among netizens regarding the theme of color versus watermelon. The jersey was filled with different shades of green – dark and light while a mix of the two stripes completes the jersey.

The response to the new shirt hasn’t been the best and certainly lacked a strong statement heading into the tournament. Pakistan will start their T20 World Cup country against their great Indian rivals on October 23.
