The city of Austin hosts a virtual career exhibition.

AUSTIN, Texas – Dust off your suits and casual clothes, Keep Austin Hired it’s this wednesday!

This free virtual career exhibition organized by the City of Austin hopes to strengthen the community and provide jobs for Austinites in need. The exhibit is open to Austin residents of all ages and abilities, and will take place online on Wednesday, May 12, 2021, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

According to a statement from the city of Austin, 100 employers are expected to register. These employers seek to fill vacancies in private companies, public agencies, higher education institutions, technical schools and small businesses with vacancies for skilled workers and customer service.

As many Austinites have faced employment challenges related to COVID-19 over the past year, this exhibit hopes to provide much needed and accessible employment opportunities to the public.

According to the city of Austin, in previous years, the expo has featured more than 4,000 job openings.

All participants can Sign up online as a job seeker or employer. Job seekers are encouraged to complete a profile and upload a CV in advance. The exhibit will also include key presentations sharing tips and advice for job seekers.
